Privacy policy

Applies to the website vertragshub.ch and the iPhone app "Vertrags-Hub".

2. This website

A static site with no cookies, no social media plugins and no third-party fonts or videos. For anonymous audience measurement we include a script from Plausible Analytics (section 5).

3. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA, and delivered through its global server network (CDN). Your browser transmits technical data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type, referring page), which the host stores in log files for security and stability and deletes once no longer needed. Data may therefore be transferred to the USA. Netlify is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council recognises as providing adequate protection.

If you sign up for the newsletter, we process your email address, optionally your first name, the page language, your consent and the time and IP address of sign-up and confirmation (proof of consent), in order to send you emails about Vertrags-Hub (launch, news) and occasional tips on deadlines. The basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to support@vertragshub.ch.

For sign-up and sending we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France) as our processor; the data is stored on servers in the EU. After you submit the form, Brevo sends you an email with a confirmation link (double opt-in); you are only signed up once you click it. We delete unconfirmed sign-ups. We do not track opens or clicks in the emails. The sign-up runs through a function of our host Netlify (section 3), which only forwards the data to Brevo. If Brevo is temporarily unavailable, Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc., USA) receives the sign-up and stores it together with IP address and browser type; we then transfer it to Brevo, where you also confirm it via a link, and delete it at Netlify. We keep the data until you unsubscribe.

5. Audience measurement with Plausible Analytics

We measure website usage with Plausible Analytics by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Plausible sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no profiles. The IP address and browser identifier are turned into a hash with a key that changes daily; the IP address itself is not stored. We only see aggregate figures (page views, country, referring page, device type) and two events not linked to a person: newsletter sign-up submitted and click on the App Store link. Data is processed on servers in the EU (Germany). Basis: our legitimate interest in data-minimal statistics.

6. Contact by email

We process your address and message to reply and delete them afterwards. Please do not send contract documents or policy numbers. Our email service is Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Corporation, USA), provided through GoDaddy; messages may be processed in the USA. Microsoft is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

7. The app

Your contracts, deadlines, letters, signature and settings stay on your iPhone. No account, nothing is sent to a server of ours. Text recognition runs on the device (Apple Vision). Face ID/Touch ID/passcode: iOS performs the check; the app never receives biometric data. Reminders are local notifications, with no push server. Widgets use a local app group. No sharing with third parties, no ads, no tracking. Purchases via Apple's App Store.

8. Your rights

Access, correction, deletion and portability of data we process; requests to support@vertragshub.ch. You may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
